Registration for PreK Basketball is now open!

The Biddeford Recreation PreK Basketball program is open to participants ages 4 and 5 years old. Children will be taught the basic skills needed to be successful on the court, while also developing fine motor skills and building on teamwork. During this program, participants will have the opportunity to work on handling, passing, and shooting a basketball, and enjoy learning skills and playing basketball through imaginative games. Each session format will include skills and drills and end with mini basketball games.

This session requires parent/guardian participation.  Biddeford Recreation staff will lead sessions and provide instruction for families to follow.  A parent must accompany each child to every class and participate with them.  Siblings ages 13 and older may assist.

Registration is open through Sunday, November 30th, 2024 or as space allows. Don't wait to register!

2024-2025 Season Info
  • Grade: PreK for ages 4-5 (and not currently in Kindergarten)
  • Season Dates: Saturdays, December 7th, 2024-February 1st, 2025 (no basketball on Saturday, December 28th)
  • Time: 10:00am-11:00am
  • Location: J. Richard Martin Community Center
  • Equipment needed: Sneakers for indoor use only
  • Registration fee: $50.00 resident/$60.00 non-resident; fee includes a t-shirt

PreK Programs Scholarship Opportunity
Attention PreK Families! We are sharing a recreation program scholarship opportunity on behalf of the City of Biddeford’s Lead Hazard Reduction Program. Eligible families who reside in Biddeford and have children ages 0-5 in the household can qualify for a scholarship towards recreation programs from the city’s Lead Hazard Reduction Program by completing an annual income form (linked below). This scholarship opportunity is available now towards Biddeford Recreation PreK Basketball!
