Biddeford Recreation is excited to offer NEW cheer clinics this spring featuring coaches from our Competition Cheer program! 

Join Biddeford Recreation and BRYCC coaches for tumbling and stunting clinics on Thursdays beginning May 1st through June 5th. Sessions options include beginner to intermediate levels for tumbling and stunting.  Open to participants in grades K-8 from Biddeford Youth Cheer programs and new athletes interested in learning more about the sport of cheering!  This is a great opportunity to continue working on skill development in the off-season!

  • Beginner/Intermediate Tumbling: 5:00-6:00PM
  • Beginner Stunt: 6:00-7:00PM
  • Intermediate Stunt: 7:00-8:00PM
  • Location: J. Richard Martin Community Center Auditorium
  • Fee: $45.00/resident; $50.00/non-resident

Tumbling Clinic Description
We will be offering a 1 hour tumbling session for athletes to work on perfecting technique and improving skills. This 1 hour clinic will begin with strengthening and specific drills to perfect technique in skills they already have. Following this time, we will have an open floor, where athletes can work with coaches on skills they have or are close to obtaining. This clinic is a great opportunity for your cheerleader to continue working on cartwheels/round offs, back walkovers, and standing or connected backhandsprings in the off-season. All skill levels welcome!

Cheer Stunting Clinic Description
Alongside our tumbling session, we are offering TWO stunting sessions, Beginner and Intermediate. Sessions will begin with strengthening exercises for bases and back spots, and stretching for flyers. The remainder of the session will consist of stunt drills and skills practice.

The BEGINNER stunt session is best suited for children in grades K-4. This session will not be going past prep level stunts.

The INTERMEDIATE stunt session is best suited for athletes in grade 4 and up. This session will work on skills past prep level, such as extensions and prep level elite skills.
