As part of Parks and Recreation Month, Biddeford Recreation invites you to donate gently used youth sports equipment through our Sports Recycle Donation Drive. Your donation helps another local child have the opportunity to play, build confidence, make friends, and experience everything youth sports have to offer.
One piece of equipment may seem small but to a child who needs it, it could mean the difference between sitting on the sidelines and jumping onto the field.
What Can You Donate?
We're accepting clean, safe, and gently used youth sports equipment, including:
- Baseball and softball gloves
- Other youth sports equipment
Most Needed Right Now
Please do not donate broken, unsafe, or heavily worn equipment.
Donate & Win!
As a thank-you for helping our community, everyone who donates two or more pieces of sports equipment will receive one raffle entry for a chance to win:
- One FREE Biddeford Recreation youth sports registration during the 2026–2027 school year
- $25 - $50 gift card to a local business
- Indoor Pickleball Punch Pass
- Birthday Party Rental at The Clubhouse

Do you have gently used sports equipment your child has outgrown? Need gear to get your athlete started without breaking the bank? The Tiger Den Gear Exchange is here to help!
This community-based program collects, stores, and redistributes youth sports equipment, helping families save money, reduce waste, and keep kids in the game. From cleats and gloves to basketballs and shin guards, your donations can make a big difference.
HOW IT WORKS:
Donate: Drop off clean, safe, gently used equipment at the J. Richard Martin Community Center.
Browse: Families in need can request or pick up gear throughout the year at no cost.
Give Back: Items are reviewed for quality and safety before being shared with other players.
Together, we can make sure every child has access to the gear they need to play, learn, and grow. Let’s build a stronger team—one piece of equipment at a time.
