Basketball Pre-K program for ages 4-5 - Pre-Kindergarten Hoops 2024-2025 Season
Registration for PreK Basketball is now open!The Biddeford Recreation PreK Basketball program is open to participants ages 4 and 5 years old. Children will be taught the basic skills needed to be successful on the court, while also developing fine motor skills and building on teamwork. During this program, participants will have the opportunity to work on handling, passing, and shooting a basketball, and enjoy learning skills and playing basketball through imaginative games. Pickleball Weekday Drop In - Pickleball Weekday Drop In
This is a fun activity that can be played by all ages. Pickleball is fun, social and friendly! The rules are fairly simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a fast-paced, competitive game. Beginners are welcome to join us and learn the game!! Whats it all about?The sport is played on a court with the same dimensions as a doubles badminton court. The net is similar to a tennis net, but is mounted two inches lower. The game is played with a hard paddle and a polymer smaller version of a wiffle ball. It can be played by 2 or 4 players.

You may find yourself flowing from pose to pose or staying in a pose for a longer amount of time. Without a doubt you’ll be stretching, breathing and feeling rejuvenated. Instructor for this class is Jana Gudschinsky. Jana is an experienced yoga teacher with over 12 years of teaching a variety of Yoga classes. Jana is passionate about helping her students to find balance in their practice and her classes are known to be challenging and supportive.

Basketball, Recreation - Grades 1-6 Divisions - Girls Basketball Grades 5-6: 2024-2025 Season: Biddeford Girls 5th/6th @ Practice
The Biddeford Recreation Department is now accepting registrations for Youth Recreation Winter Basketball program for Boys and Girls in Grades 1-6!Our goal is to provide Biddeford youth with a positive, enthusiastic and team-oriented approach to developing skills, knowledge and values needed to play the game of basketball. This program is geared towards teaching basketball fundamentals with an emphasis on good sportsmanship, fun, and fostering young players' physical, mental, and social-emotional growth.Teams are determined by grade and gender, with three divisions offered for 1st & 2nd grade, 3rd & 4th grade, and 5th & 6th. Practice times and days will depend on the number of teams and gym availability. Games will be held on Saturday's varying in times, beginning January 4th, 2025 through February 15th, 2025. Games are typically scheduled with other regional communities including Saco, OOB and Kennebunkport/Arundel, so there will be some local travel required.Registration is open through Friday, November 15th. Registrations received after this date will be subject to a $5.00 late fee for teams that have seats available. Don't wait to sign up!

Pickleball Weekday Drop In - Pickleball Weekday Drop In
This is a fun activity that can be played by all ages. Pickleball is fun, social and friendly! The rules are fairly simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a fast-paced, competitive game. Beginners are welcome to join us and learn the game!! Whats it all about?The sport is played on a court with the same dimensions as a doubles badminton court. The net is similar to a tennis net, but is mounted two inches lower. The game is played with a hard paddle and a polymer smaller version of a wiffle ball. It can be played by 2 or 4 players.

Basketball - Kinder Hoops - Kinder Hoops Basketball: 2024-2025 Season
Registration for Kinder Hoops Basketball is now open!Kinder Hoops is a coed basketball program open to kindergarten-aged students. Children will be taught the basic skills needed to be successful on the court, while also developing fine motor skills and building on teamwork. During this program, participants will have the opportunity to work on handling, passing, and shooting a basketball, and enjoy learning skills and playing basketball through imaginative games. Each session format will include skills and drills and end with mini basketball games.Registration is open through Sunday, November 30th, 2024 or as space allows. Don't wait to register!

Basketball Pre-K program for ages 4-5 - Pre-Kindergarten Hoops 2024-2025 Season
Registration for PreK Basketball is now open!The Biddeford Recreation PreK Basketball program is open to participants ages 4 and 5 years old. Children will be taught the basic skills needed to be successful on the court, while also developing fine motor skills and building on teamwork. During this program, participants will have the opportunity to work on handling, passing, and shooting a basketball, and enjoy learning skills and playing basketball through imaginative games. Each session format will include skills and drills and end with mini basketball games.This session requires parent/guardian participation. Biddeford Recreation staff will lead sessions and provide instruction for families to follow. A parent must accompany each child to every class and participate with them. Siblings ages 13 and older may assist.Registration is open through Sunday, November 30th, 2024 or as space allows. Don't wait to register!

This is a fun activity that can be played by all ages. Pickleball is fun, social and friendly! The rules are fairly simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a fast-paced, competitive game. Beginners are welcome to join us and learn the game!! Whats it all about?The sport is played on a court with the same dimensions as a doubles badminton court. The net is similar to a tennis net, but is mounted two inches lower. Biddeford Recreation is excited to offer our newest Yoga class: Gentle Yoga! Gentle Yoga is a perfect practice for anyone of any age or physical ability. You may find yourself flowing from pose to pose or staying in a pose for a longer amount of time. Without a doubt you’ll be stretching, breathing and feeling rejuvenated. Instructor for this class is Jana Gudschinsky. Jana is an experienced yoga teacher with over 12 years of teaching a variety of Yoga classes. Jana is passionate about helping her students to find balance in their practice and her classes are known to be challenging and supportive.

Yin Yang Yoga - Yin Yang Yoga
Yin/Yang Yoga is a practice that balances a slow paced Yin with a traditional Hatha Yoga. Yin is a passive cooling energy, whereas Yang is more dynamic and warming. This is a 1 hour class. We will start in Yang for warming up our body and releasing energy, then we will make our way to a more calming practice in Yin. Please bring your own mat, towel and water bottle. The rules are fairly simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a fast-paced, competitive game. Beginners are welcome to join us and learn the game!! Whats it all about?The sport is played on a court with the same dimensions as a doubles badminton court. The net is similar to a tennis net, but is mounted two inches lower. This program is geared towards teaching basketball fundamentals with an emphasis on good sportsmanship, fun, and fostering young players' physical, mental, and social-emotional growth.Teams are determined by grade and gender, with three divisions offered for 1st & 2nd grade, 3rd & 4th grade, and 5th & 6th. This is a fun activity that can be played by all ages. Pickleball is fun, social and friendly! The rules are fairly simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a fast-paced, competitive game. Beginners are welcome to join us and learn the game!! Whats it all about?The sport is played on a court with the same dimensions as a doubles badminton court. The net is similar to a tennis net, but is mounted two inches lower.
