A parkrun is a FREE, weekly, timed, 5 kilometer run, jog or walk, open to all members of our community. parkruns are volunteer led community events that are supported by the parkrun non-profit organization. parkruns are currently operating in over 2300 locations worldwide.Eastern Trail parkrun Biddeford will take place at 9am every Saturday morning on the Eastern Trail located behind the SMHC Hospital. Parking and access to the start/finish line on the Eastern Trail is available in the SMHC parking lot (Medical Center Drive, Biddeford, 04005). Registration through the parkrun website is required. You only need to register once and can then attend any parkrun event around the world!Please ensure you have a copy of your personal bar code (generated during registration) with you at each event. This is a fun  activity that can be played by all ages. Pickleball is fun, social and friendly! The rules are fairly simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a fast-paced, competitive game. Beginners are welcome to join us and learn the game!! Whats it all about?The sport is played on a court with the same dimensions as a doubles badminton court. The net is similar to a tennis net, but is mounted two inches lower. The game is played with a hard paddle and a polymer smaller version of a wiffle ball. It can be played by 2 or 4 players.

This is an open door program where participants may come and go throughout the day. Many students take advantage of the park on nice days. The center provides transportation to all Biddeford residents at days end.Teen Center opens for the 2023-24 School Year on Friday September 11th.Hours are 2:00-6:00 on school days except Early Releases. Hours are 12:00-6:00 for Early Release days. Teen Center is closed on days when school is not in session.All registration paperwork must be completed before attending. This is a free program provided by the City of Biddeford in support of its teens.  Available at the center are pool tables, air hockey, snack bar, board games, lounge area, video games and more. Special events and activities are also held at the center.

Solo jazz dancing, also known as vernacular jazz dancing, is rooted in Black American traditional movements. This class will explore vintage and modern routines that use the authentic jazz steps common in Lindy Hop and swing dancing. You’ll be grooving to big band swing and traditional jazz music and having so much fun you’ll forget you’re actually exercising! Having some background in Lindy Hop or learning choreography will help you get the most out of this class, but all are welcome. Masks are optional but encouraged. Students should bring a water bottle and a change of shoes that are comfortable and not too sticky on the floor.

Tuesday, October 3rd, 2023 from 8:00am-5:00pm    (Rain or Shine)$12pp for 50+club members$15pp for non-membersincludes transportation on Biddeford 50+BusAdmission at the gate is $15 or FREE for anyone 65+Join us for a fun filled day at the fair! We will arrive just after the gates open in our 50+Club Bus. This is a great trip for everyone, with so much to see and do. The Fryeburg Fair had been going on annually since 1851 and now it is Maine's largest agricultural fair; complete with 6 days of harness racing, a farm museum, and the world's largest steer and oxen show. The Fryeburg Fair attracts more than 300,000 people every year. There are more than 4,000 animals and several full service restaurants at the fair. Be sure to dress comfortably and wear sneakers as there is a good deal of walking. At times you can sit and listen to the performers throughout the day in one of the many park areas on the fairgrounds.

This is a fun  activity that can be played by all ages. Pickleball is fun, social and friendly! The rules are fairly simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a fast-paced, competitive game. Beginners are welcome to join us and learn the game!! Whats it all about?The sport is played on a court with the same dimensions as a doubles badminton court. The net is similar to a tennis net, but is mounted two inches lower. The game is played with a hard paddle and a polymer smaller version of a wiffle ball. It can be played by 2 or 4 players.

Solo jazz dancing, also known as vernacular jazz dancing, is rooted in Black American traditional movements. This class will explore vintage and modern routines that use the authentic jazz steps common in Lindy Hop and swing dancing. You’ll be grooving to big band swing and traditional jazz music and having so much fun you’ll forget you’re actually exercising! Having some background in Lindy Hop or learning choreography will help you get the most out of this class, but all are welcome. Masks are optional but encouraged. Students should bring a water bottle and a change of shoes that are comfortable and not too sticky on the floor.

This is a fun  activity that can be played by all ages. Pickleball is fun, social and friendly! The rules are fairly simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a fast-paced, competitive game. Beginners are welcome to join us and learn the game!! Whats it all about?The sport is played on a court with the same dimensions as a doubles badminton court. The net is similar to a tennis net, but is mounted two inches lower. The game is played with a hard paddle and a polymer smaller version of a wiffle ball. It can be played by 2 or 4 players.

Solo jazz dancing, also known as vernacular jazz dancing, is rooted in Black American traditional movements. This class will explore vintage and modern routines that use the authentic jazz steps common in Lindy Hop and swing dancing. You’ll be grooving to big band swing and traditional jazz music and having so much fun you’ll forget you’re actually exercising! Having some background in Lindy Hop or learning choreography will help you get the most out of this class, but all are welcome. Masks are optional but encouraged. Students should bring a water bottle and a change of shoes that are comfortable and not too sticky on the floor.

COED adult volleyball drop in program.Sundays from 6pm-9pm. Program will be run in the J. Richard Martin Community Center gymnasium. Ages 18 and out of high school and older. Pickup play format, new teams picked each week!Drop in fee 2$ per session, please bring exact change.

This is a fun  activity that can be played by all ages. Pickleball is fun, social and friendly! The rules are fairly simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a fast-paced, competitive game. Beginners are welcome to join us and learn the game!! Whats it all about?The sport is played on a court with the same dimensions as a doubles badminton court. The net is similar to a tennis net, but is mounted two inches lower. The game is played with a hard paddle and a polymer smaller version of a wiffle ball. It can be played by 2 or 4 players.

The Teen Center is open to those in grades 6-12. The center located in Rotary Park at 550 Main Street is a short walk from the high school. This is an open door program where participants may come and go throughout the day. Many students take advantage of the park on nice days. The center provides transportation to all Biddeford residents at days end.Teen Center opens for the 2023-24 School Year on Friday September 11th.Hours are 2:00-6:00 on school days except Early Releases. Hours are 12:00-6:00 for Early Release days. Teen Center is closed on days when school is not in session.All registration paperwork must be completed before attending. This is a free program provided by the City of Biddeford in support of its teens.  Available at the center are pool tables, air hockey, snack bar, board games, lounge area, video games and more. Special events and activities are also held at the center.

7:30 PM - 8:30 PM    Solo/Vernacular Jazz Dancing- All levels - Solo/Vernacular Jazz Dancing
Solo jazz dancing, also known as vernacular jazz dancing, is rooted in Black American traditional movements. This class will explore vintage and modern routines that use the authentic jazz steps common in Lindy Hop and swing dancing. You’ll be grooving to big band swing and traditional jazz music and having so much fun you’ll forget you’re actually exercising! Having some background in Lindy Hop or learning choreography will help you get the most out of this class, but all are welcome. Masks are optional but encouraged. Students should bring a water bottle and a change of shoes that are comfortable and not too sticky on the floor.
