Pickleball Weekday Drop In - Pickleball Weekday Drop In
This is a fun activity that can be played by all ages. Pickleball is fun, social and friendly! The rules are fairly simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a fast-paced, competitive game. Beginners are welcome to join us and learn the game!! Please contact Brian Dunphe for additional program information, 283-0841 Send an email inquiry. Whats it all about?The sport is played on a court with the same dimensions as a doubles badminton court. The net is similar to a tennis net, but is mounted two inches lower. The game is played with a hard paddle and a polymer smaller version of a wiffle ball. It can be played by 2 or 4 players.

Registration is now open for the Biddeford Recreation Travel Basketball 2024-2025 Season! This program is open to basketball players in Grades 3-4 & 5-6. This season, our program will participate in the Southern Maine Hoops League. The league has options of divisions that include single grades and combined grades. For parents, as you determine which basketball program level is best suited for your child, please consider the following: The Travel Basketball program is designed for athletes who would like to play in a more competitive league in the Southern Maine area.Players trying out for travel should have prior experience in recreation or travel basketball.Travel Basketball includes an evaluation process - see details below. All players interested in playing on a Biddeford Recreation Travel Team are required to attend the evaluation night. Participants that do not make a travel team will be automatically placed on a recreational team. We have basketball opportunities for everyone and every ability level!

A parkrun is a FREE, weekly, timed, 5 kilometer run, jog or walk, open to all members of our community. parkruns are volunteer led community events that are supported by the parkrun non-profit organization. parkruns are currently operating in over 2500 locations worldwide.Eastern Trail parkrun Biddeford will take place at 9am every Saturday morning on the Eastern Trail located behind the SMMC Hospital. In this program, coaches will introduce the fundamentals of competition cheering, building upon these as athletes advance to new divisions, and build on choreography and routines as the season progresses. Biddeford Recreation is pleased to welcome back returning coaches Catrina Woodard for year 9 with our cheer program and Hannah Beaupre for year 6! Catrina and Hannah will be joined by Junior Coaches. This season we are offering divisions for Pre-K to 8th grade. Each team can accommodate up to 20 participants (minimum of 10 required per team to hold the division). The season runs from October 2024 through early April 2025 and includes three to five competitions or exhibitions for each team in winter/spring, depending on division. A parkrun is a FREE, weekly, timed, 5 kilometer run, jog or walk, open to all members of our community. parkruns are volunteer led community events that are supported by the parkrun non-profit organization. parkruns are currently operating in over 2500 locations worldwide.Eastern Trail parkrun Biddeford will take place at 9am every Saturday morning on the Eastern Trail located behind the SMMC Hospital. This is a fun activity that can be played by all ages. Pickleball is fun, social and friendly! The rules are fairly simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a fast-paced, competitive game. Beginners are welcome to join us and learn the game!! Whats it all about?The sport is played on a court with the same dimensions as a doubles badminton court. The net is similar to a tennis net, but is mounted two inches lower. You may find yourself flowing from pose to pose or staying in a pose for a longer amount of time. Without a doubt you’ll be stretching, breathing and feeling rejuvenated. Instructor for this class is Jana Gudschinsky. Jana is an experienced yoga teacher with over 12 years of teaching a variety of Yoga classes. Jana is passionate about helping her students to find balance in their practice and her classes are known to be challenging and supportive.

This is a fun activity that can be played by all ages. Pickleball is fun, social and friendly! The rules are fairly simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a fast-paced, competitive game. Beginners are welcome to join us and learn the game!! Pickleball Weekday Drop In - Pickleball Weekday Drop In
This is a fun activity that can be played by all ages. Pickleball is fun, social and friendly! The rules are fairly simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a fast-paced, competitive game. Beginners are welcome to join us and learn the game!! Whats it all about?The sport is played on a court with the same dimensions as a doubles badminton court. The net is similar to a tennis net, but is mounted two inches lower. You may find yourself flowing from pose to pose or staying in a pose for a longer amount of time. Without a doubt you’ll be stretching, breathing and feeling rejuvenated. Instructor for this class is Jana Gudschinsky. Jana is an experienced yoga teacher with over 12 years of teaching a variety of Yoga classes. Jana is passionate about helping her students to find balance in their practice and her classes are known to be challenging and supportive.

Yin/Yang Yoga is a practice that balances a slow paced Yin with a traditional Hatha Yoga. Yin is a passive cooling energy, whereas Yang is more dynamic and warming. This is a 1 hour class. For parents, as you determine which basketball program level is best suited for your child, please consider the following: The Travel Basketball program is designed for athletes who would like to play in a more competitive league in the Southern Maine area.Players trying out for travel should have prior experience in recreation or travel basketball.Travel Basketball includes an evaluation process - see details below. All players interested in playing on a Biddeford Recreation Travel Team are required to attend the evaluation night. This is a fun activity that can be played by all ages. Pickleball is fun, social and friendly! The rules are fairly simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a fast-paced, competitive game. Beginners are welcome to join us and learn the game!! Whats it all about?The sport is played on a court with the same dimensions as a doubles badminton court. The net is similar to a tennis net, but is mounted two inches lower. This is a fun activity that can be played by all ages. Pickleball is fun, social and friendly! The rules are fairly simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a fast-paced, competitive game. Beginners are welcome to join us and learn the game!! Whats it all about?The sport is played on a court with the same dimensions as a doubles badminton court. The net is similar to a tennis net, but is mounted two inches lower. Yin/Yang Yoga is a practice that balances a slow paced Yin with a traditional Hatha Yoga. Yin is a passive cooling energy, whereas Yang is more dynamic and warming. This is a 1 hour class. This is a fun activity that can be played by all ages. Pickleball is fun, social and friendly! The rules are fairly simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a fast-paced, competitive game. Beginners are welcome to join us and learn the game!! This season, we are offering two leagues, A League and B League; each division will consist of regular season games and playoffs.

Pickleball Weekday Drop In - Pickleball Weekday Drop In
This is a fun activity that can be played by all ages. Pickleball is fun, social and friendly! The rules are fairly simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a fast-paced, competitive game. Beginners are welcome to join us and learn the game!! Whats it all about?The sport is played on a court with the same dimensions as a doubles badminton court. The net is similar to a tennis net, but is mounted two inches lower. The game is played with a hard paddle and a polymer smaller version of a wiffle ball. It can be played by 2 or 4 players.

A parkrun is a FREE, weekly, timed, 5 kilometer run, jog or walk, open to all members of our community. parkruns are volunteer led community events that are supported by the parkrun non-profit organization. parkruns are currently operating in over 2500 locations worldwide.Eastern Trail parkrun Biddeford will take place at 9am every Saturday morning on the Eastern Trail located behind the SMMC Hospital. Parking and access to the start/finish line on the Eastern Trail is available in the SMMC parking lot (Medical Center Drive, Biddeford, 04005). Registration through the parkrun website is required. Basketball Pre-K program for ages 4-5 - Pre-Kindergarten Hoops 2024-2025 Season
Registration for PreK Basketball is now open!The Biddeford Recreation PreK Basketball program is open to participants ages 4 and 5 years old. Children will be taught the basic skills needed to be successful on the court, while also developing fine motor skills and building on teamwork. During this program, participants will have the opportunity to work on handling, passing, and shooting a basketball, and enjoy learning skills and playing basketball through imaginative games. Each session format will include skills and drills and end with mini basketball games.This session requires parent/guardian participation. Biddeford Recreation staff will lead sessions and provide instruction for families to follow. A parent must accompany each child to every class and participate with them.
