Kick Start Basketball: Summer 2026
Kick Start Basketball is designed for young children who are ready to explore the game of basketball in a fun, welcoming, and supportive environment. Whether your child is picking up a basketball for the first time or building confidence in group activities, this program provides a positive introduction to the game through play-based learning.
Ages: Boys & Girls, 4 - 7 years old
Fee: $35 Resident / $45 Non-Resident

Thursdays: August 6, August 20
Time: 8:00 AM – 8:45 AM
Location: Mayfield Outdoor Basketball Courts
Activities are carefully designed to help children grow in three key areas:
Motor Skill Development – practicing age-appropriate basketball movements such as dribbling, passing, shooting, running, balancing, and hand-eye coordination.
Confidence Building – learning basketball skills in a supportive environment that encourages effort, celebrates progress, and builds comfort trying new things.
Socialization – participating in small group activities that promote cooperation, sharing space, and having fun with peers.
Participants will be introduced to basic basketball skills including dribbling, passing, shooting, and movement/agility through fun, engaging activities designed specifically for young learners.
Kick Start Basketball is not about competition. It’s about creating a positive first basketball experience that helps children develop a love of movement, build confidence, and enjoy learning in a fun group setting.

Kick Start Tennis Fall 2026
Kick Start Tennis is designed for young children who are ready to explore the game of tennis in a fun, welcoming, and supportive environment alongside a parent or caregiver. Whether your child is picking up a racquet for the first time or building confidence in group activities, this program provides a positive introduction to tennis through play-based learning.
Ages: Boys & Girls, 4 - 7 years old
Fee: $35 Resident / $45 Non-Resident

Dates: Tuesdays, September 8th - October 6th (5 weeks)
Time:5:00 PM – 5:45 PM
Location: Mayfield Tennis & Pickleball Courts
Maximum of 12 players
Parent participation required

Kick Start Sports Academy: Fall 2026
Held once a week at the J. Richard Martin Community Center from 10:00am to 10:45am , this class offers a mix of sport specific games, physical education-style activities, and exciting active group challenges. Your little ones will burn energy, build coordination and balance, and work on their focus and listening skills while having a blast with new friends! Whether they’re running, jumping, or learning basic skills from a variety of sports, Kick Start Sports Academy is the perfect way to get your child moving and having fun. Parent participation required.
